Passed emissions yesterday but noticed something strange.
When he brought the engine up to 2500 rpm, the upper radiator hose collapsed.
The hose is in good condition, and there is plenty of coolant. Thermostat is working fine and I have yet to go above 1/2 temp on the guage.
Any ideas on why this would happen?

Well, I've heard of the lower hose collapsing, but the upper hose is the return side. That's odd that it would collapse...

Ya know, we were just discussing the springs that go in the lower hose to keep it from collapsing...maybe you need one in your upper hose as well.

Also, replace your thermostat. I don't know if that will fix your problem but it's cheap enough, 4.99 for a good one.
