A probably warmed over Power Stroke rolled through the parking lot when I was at the grocery store, and DAMN did that thing sound impressive!

The clatter, the rumble, and the distinct whistle of the turbo through what sounded a straight exhaust while idling through the parking lot kind of makes me want to switch to....

If that could be done for the price of the 400, believe you me, it would happen /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

You should hear the new 6.0 Power Strokes with straight pipes. They have a whistle like you wouldn't believe at idle(like the old ones did when you got on it), and at high RPMs they start to sound like a gas motor!! Its a sound to hear.

All V8 Diesels sound like gas engines to me when they have straight pipes and someone gets on it.

Only the I6 Diesels sound REALLY like a big rig with straight pipes.

7.3 PowerStrokes don't sound like V8 big gas motors when you get on it and straight pipe them. I've welded a couple straight pipe setups on them they just sound like helicopters.
