    Utility platform for 2\" receiver

Has anyone used one of these things?
It is a rectangular platform about 5' wide x 2' deep,
welded to a 2" stub that fits into your 2" trailer hitch receiver.

I want something that will carry a spool of barbed wire,
some steel fence posts, a shovel, other fencing tools.
I can't pull a trailer on the side hills and the back of
the Jimmy isn't quite big enough or easily accessable.

People use these platforms for hauling dirt bikes and such so I thought
someone on the board may have had some experience with them?
    Are they fairly durable?

    Thanks,
    73Jimmy

I have friends that use them all the time and they have held up just fine. I plan to make one that I can still hook up a trailer behind soon:>)

There is a local 4x4 shop that has one in stock. It looks really durable. I was going to get it. But I was worried about clearance. I go on alot of old fire trails. That have the hills bulldozed back in to them. I am having a new bumper made and my reciever is going to be alot higher and I will pick it up then..

I made a small one to bolt my vise to. Worked great when I had to change out a u-joint in the front CV in Moab last week.
