How does my vacuum guage reading relate to gas mileage? My buddy says 15in. is optimal, higher or lower is worse. Is this correct? Also, the guage should be connected to the manifold and not the carb, correct?

Manifold is correct....The higher the vaccum the better the mileage....watch the difference between mashing the gas and rolling into it easy....That higher reading is better mileage.

Use it to adjust your idle screws too. Again go for the highest reading.... /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif
