My wifes Rodeo has a bit of valve noise. I don't know if it's a lifter colapsed or what because I haven't had time to look yet. Anyway it's pretty loud and annoying. Is there an additive or a certain type of oil that would quiet it down some untill I have the cash and time to replace the culprit.

I have the same problem in my 383. I have tried the atf thing, change the oil. Tried heavier weight oil, and the "no-smoke" and some HONEY type lifter noise stuff. Nothing has worked for me.

I even tried Marvel Mystery Oil.

    Nothing so far.

    Good luck.

Really can't do anything with additives if it's already clicking.

Does the Isuzu have hydraulic lifters, or do the valves just need adjusting?

I have no idea. It's a 3.2L V6.. just like in the honda's. I need to take the valve cover off and look at everything I just haven't had time to work on it, been working on the K5.
