Would diesel fuel additives mix and work with veggie oils?
How do BTU's compare between veggie and dino?
How about cost per gallon assuming oil could be bought in quantity?

Curious to know if the regular diesel fuel additives mix with vegetable oils and is there any benefit in doing so?

Also, how does the energy potential in a gallon of veggie oil compare to a gallon of diesel fuel?

    Thanks

I hope, I understood it so correctly.
The advantage of Diesel fuel are the additives for clean lines and injection nozzles. In addition Diesel remains liquid even at lower temperatures.
In my opinion, it isnt a different of the energy potential. I felt so far no lower performance and also the consumption its nearly the same.
For me, the bigest advantage is the half price of the veggie.

I believe hes talking about the additives you add to your tank of fuel.

Do you know of any additives that you could use to keep the veggi oil at a good viscosity?

I dont add additives. Thus that would be lost the price advantage and that is important to me. To receive a higher viscosity, you can add Diesels. Starting from 80% you will feel a real improvement. Or however you takes 20% gasoline, but thats dangerous for the engine. If you want to make it with vegetable oil, then correctly or not at all.

In my proximity, there is a man, who operates its Mercedes sedan completely with vegetable oil. Engine, transmission, differential... Mad!
