After some extensive searching I just stumbled upon a home video taken live as the Tsunami rolled through a hotel complex. Man, is that ever crazy!!!!!!! The water looks like it raised about 20 feet in 1 minute, and you can actually see a couple of people getting washed away by the water.

    WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK:

Wow, Wow.............. I didn't even know how devistating it was until now. It's a sad thing to see all the people loose everything. Someone said 52,000 people died or are missing. My prayers go out to all of them. It makes me think twice about water front property. Those videos are amazing. :frown1:

No offense, but I wonder how much expressed compassion it takes before we (as in humanity in general) can balance out our unadmitted facination with death and destruction

    I won't watch it

I didn't watch the beheadings after one, which was disgusting

I didn't watch the bombing videos after one, which was coldy disturbing in it's randomness

I can't watch people argue at all

...but I feel I am being honest to myself

    Again, no offense, just psychology

I realize the possibly hypocrocy in my gun toting and epic violent story writing, but because killing needs to be done or is a inevitabe story point, doesn't mean it is a good thing

I could only get three of the vids to play - the other three wouldn't for some reason. It's a shame to see that ****, though. I've been to Phuket, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and some other places in my travels, and it's weird to know that places I've visited and partied at are destroyed now. If ya'll recall the club bombing in Bali about three years ago, I was there not two months earlier, and I spent most my time in that club that was hit (place called Sari Club - great jungle juice).... Shame.
