I had never shot a 10ga, and I was at my girlfriend's house and she wanted to take a video of my shooting one. It has a 36" barrel and is has a full choke.. It patterned very nicely. In the vid I was trying it at 30 yards, but it holds a very tight pattern at 50 yards

ya gotta love them old school calibers. I saw a 4ga shell at a gun show once... yikes. Practically civil war "canister" ammo. Musta been fun to shoot that 10ga. I have never even held one. Dad always had a 12... now I own a 12. Its pretty much the standard which is good in an economical way, but shooting something uncommon is even cooler. :thumb:

I had on old lever action Winchester 10 gauge that used out of production 2 3/4" shells. That thing was brutal.

My dad has a Ithaca 10 ga. auto , if you feel tuff you can squeeze off five high brass 2 3/4" rounds as fast as you can pull the trigger! It's brutal!

    edit: I think it might take a 3" shell not a 2 3/4? It's also a Mag-10 model.

    this was a 3 1/2" turkey load.

I have an old 8ga in my cartridge collection, but they've been outlawed I believe, or at least they are no longer in production :p:

I met an obscure ammo dealer at a gunshow, really cool guy.. He had a 000 shell used in punt guns for commercial duck hunting back in the day.. he wanted $1500 for that shell. :eek1:
