Yeah, this is what happens when truck nerds get bored.

    http://brochures.slosh.com/vindecoder.html

Give this a roll and plunk in your truck's VIN, would ya? I'm still working on it, but I'm getting there.

I'm pretty confident in 1973-80 stuff, as they're simple ... 1981-91 is a bit iffy, as there are a buttloads of details I forget.

1967-72 is veeeeeery vague in my books, so I'm prolly way wrong. If you find bugs or it barfs catastrophically, there's a form to help me out, or just shoot me a note on dremu@yahoo.com with your VIN and your truck's details (model year, engine, pickup/Burb/Blazer, etc) and I'll see what I can do.

Anyway, the thing in theory knows about pickups (including weird ones like C&C's), Burbs and Blazers/Jimmies, so it should be all encompassing.

    Should be :D

Well, what's the VIN you put in?

Specifically, are the second and third digits G8 instead of GC or GT, which are Chevy and GMC respectively?

(Told you the books lie :) )

Ahh ... GC could be a truck and G8 a ute. Dammit.

What's not correct? It looks just like the one for my '74 Blazer. The GVWR thing is only on 1981+ models, fyi.

Mine is G8 . Mine has had a respray , and it has had some bodywork ( found bondo first dent ) . But I still have the original stickers on the doors etc , and underneath all my panels is original Tan , so I assume mine is just a regular truck with tow package .
