Hey guys, picking up an 83 C30 this weekend. Ripped the sticker out of the glove box, and am trying to decipher the VIN code. It's a little hard to read, so I may be guessing on a couple (for instance I say G but it could be a C or an O, etc). Any help is appreciated.

    VIN 2GCGC34M9D1166385

Also, if anyone is looking for parts, I'll be parting it out shortly.

Here's what it had to say...

    VIN Number: 2GCGC34M9D1166385
    Country Canada
    Manufactuer GENERAL MOTORS
    Make CHEV TRUCK
    GVRW/ Brake System 8001 - 9000 HYD
    CarLine/Series CONVENTIONAL CAB GMT400* 4x2
    Type series 1 TOM
    Body Style TWO-DOOR CAB
    Engine Type 5.0 V8 CPI U

Was it common to put a 5.0L into a 1Ton 4x2? Is it worth salvaging? The truck has 70 or 80k on it, dual tanks, A/C, P/S, Hydro-Assist Brakes, etc.
