not sure on the year, but maybe try using the registration numbers to find out, I would think they would help you out when you go in to register it.

I hope ya have alot of fun with it, i like the old sleds, days got a 70s Yamaha 440, i like to ride it more then my buddys ZR500...corse its the only snowmobile ive managed to get stuck

the Leopard print seat seems to be pretty standard with the Panthers of the 70s. where can i find the registration numbers at?

should be something to do with the "A3361" on the side, thats how the registration numbers are on the side of my dads sled. otherwise look for a small sticker, inch wide and couple tall, keep in mind this is how big Iowas are your states could be different. there might be something on that sticker too.

looks to me like a '72-'78. last time I saw one them was after my buddy landed it bent the skiis and did his now-infamous superman impression. :haha:

It should have a title. Was probably lost or no longer required by the state because of age. The best expert on old cats is RV sports in Thief river falls mn, across the street from the plant that sled was built in.
www.rvsports.com/cwl_dev/index.html If they cant help there are some guys in northern Wisconsin who do old sleds for a hobby.

I used to have a '73 Artic Cat Puma when I was in college. That thing would burn a piston every 100mi. I had that piston replacment procedure down to 20minutes. But, alas, I sold it I really miss the leapord skin seat though.......
