Yeahhhhhh, that makes a lot of sense

Make sure everything you do is official, and keep running adaware and spybot and virusslaughterer4.6

    is the update from microsoft?

You can always go to http://www.windowsupdate.com to manually get your updates if your unsure who is telling you to get updates.

I have never got a virus or heard of anyone getting a virus from windowsupdate.com

Chuck, I just re-downloaded AVG, and will run it to make sure nothing happened that wasn't supposed to.
Scott, the updates are called "automatic updates", well thats what the name was down on the taskbar. I ran it and it seems okay so far.
    Thanks for the help!

Norton is Junk IMHO. I fully believe they are in bed with spyware people and purposly dont include spyware virus definitions in their updates. The best thing I did for my comp was to delete Norton.
I use Trend micro PC- Cillin on my main PC and AVG free on my laptops.
