Hey all. I will be visiting colorado springs next week and was curious to see what trails near there are open? Really I just need to know if the snow has melted off enough to hit some of the higher trails? Also did the area around cedar mountain road open up yet? Thanks guys!

Everything in the Buena Vista area is a go. Any snow up here is above treeline at around 11,500'. I am setting here looking at the road to the top of Mt. Princeston and it is wide open. We did China Wall near Lake George in March. A lot of the trails in the Haymen Fire burn area are still closed, you would need to check with the Forest Service for openings.

I hope this is helpful information for the Upper Arkansas River Valley. :):)

Check over at Colorado4x4.org to get more info on the trail situation.

I know that Iron Chest is still snowed in at the top, but Grizzly Lake is passable all the way to the top.
