OK, i have the heads on and I have the intake manifold and I want to use my original Q-jet. But there is no place on the new manifold to mount the temperature spring that controls the choke on the carb. Is there a manifold that has what I need? Is there some simple way to fix this? Change the choke? Or connect it some where else? What happens if it is not connected?

Ya, isn't that nice. The Vortecs have no exhaust cross over. When I did mine I used a manual choke cable, until I bought a carb. with electric choke.

All right. I'll see how it goes without it. And after I get a job, I'll just get a new carb if I need too.

    Thanks.
