vortec heads on 90 tbi ?

    i was wondering how to use vortec heads on a non-vortec tbi.(5.7/7.4). is this posible? are the trottebodies different?or anyone make a manifold for this app?

    Chevy makes an aluminum manifold to do just this conversion.
    It is a Vortec TBI manifold and all your stock TBI stuff bolts up. Try Scoggin Dicky or Pace Parts & look under the GMPP parts.

    Edelbrock Also makes TBI manifolds for Vortec heads.

    The only Vortec style intakes that I see on their site are for carbs. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

    Hey Thunder, I have the senility problem also, just been messing with SBC for 20+ years, so have a lot of info....mostly useless... to share....

    thanks for the info, this site is great, one person asks a question and a several gain from it...
    i have a friend who wants to do the exact swap, i didnt know if it was possible, lucky me, this post was at the top, didnt even had to do a search for it..
