This in regards to my '93 454. It will be time for a rebuild soon, and have been considering vortec heads for it. Will the intake and exhaust manifolds bolt up with no problems? Any extra considerations?

    '85 K5, 350, 700r4, np208, 10 bolts, as of 10/2001; wish list is extensive.

You'll need some machining to get your intake to fit, exhaust will be fine.

you will have a hard time machining sbc heads onto a bbc? if you want performance go w/edelbrock performer rect. ports, for up to 500 h.p. go with iron oval ports.

I have no knowledge of an intake for BBC style vortech heads. Machining to fit is a bad idea. Circle track guys did this so they could run the vortechs and most of them leaked like a siv. Not worth the problems IMO. Lots of good aftermarket BBC heads that can be had for a lot less $$$ then the cost of machining and buying the heads in the first place.
