Has anyone done vortec heads on their truck? I have an 88 so its a 350 TBI. I want to do vortec heads, tbi aluminum vortec manifold, and a cam. Has anyone done this?

Keep the shiny side up, and the greasy side down.

Chevy High Performance did a piece on this not to long ago. If you do as you state with the heads and proper manifold, you will notice a big difference. I talked to Jim Pace parts who offers the drilled and tapped versions for earlier manifolds and they recommended not to go that route and get the regular Vortec heads along with the Vortec intake manifold.

Any reason they did not recommend the drilled and tapped heads?
