    talk too....

Talk to the DNR office that is located in Sedro Wooley. They control that whole area. Last year it was open until the early november time frame. They close it in the winter and then reopen it in the summer. Catch is that they never post it as being closed on that board in the parking lot, or if they do someone is ripping it down. Dont ever expect that big steel gate to be open though. You have to go over that obstacle just to the right of it. Careful going over it too! Looks easy but the tree on the left probably still has a piece of my tail light stuck in it. Way off track sorry. Call the Department of Natural Resources and ask when they are closeing it down. Have fun, wish I was still stationed up there! For where the Valley is located. Take College Way east out of Mount Vernon then hang a right at the split towards clear lake. A few miles down there is a left hand turn with a sign pointing you toward the OHV area and a BSA camp. Turn left there and just keep going and following signs. nice sized parking area that gets packed in the summer. Usually a gang of people by that first obstacle, and its in plain view of parking lot so everyone can see a mistake!
