Making a few adjustments before playing...

You cant tell, but in this pic the Dodge's front passenger tire is about 2 feet off the ground and the truck is teetering. The slop on the other side is about an 75degree, 50foot long drop off and as you can tell hs truck isn't lined up to well. He had an open diff in the front(one wheel off the ground) and had snapped the rear drivshaft at this point. The Dodge was in a delima...what to do...I know the CHEVY can take care of this problem.

You cant see it, but we had a inch and half thick tractor tow rope hooked from my ball hitch to his leaf in the rear...

I pulled him up the hill, turning his truck so that it could roll down the hill on its shoes rather than over and over. I was really surprised that my K5 pulled him up a hill and sideways to boot. It was a scary situation, worrying that his truck was going to roll and wondering if his truck was going to pull me down the hill with it....but we did it.

After we got it to a safe point it only took about 10mins to have him rolling again. (spare parts are great to take with you).He doesnt talk smack about chevy's anymore...and his wife doesnt go wheel'n anymore either.

No offence but it sounds like you guys need to get some tow hooks... hooked from your trailer ball to his leaf spring?? ewwww dont like the sounds of that. Cool pics tho, always good to see a Chevy pulling anything!

Maybe he needs to trade the Dodge in for a K5.

None taken. We all have tow hooks. It was the situation that made us hook up that way. Besides these tow ropes were designed to pull big rigs (80,000lbs), [IMG]

I don't think Michael really appreciates getting his post hi-jacked...[IMG]
Of course we could always start another one in the "Non-4x4 issues" Forum.

Michael, cool pics by the way, it never ceases to amaze me what Chevy will pull![IMG]
