Do you happen to have a Gov-loc for 4.56's?

Yes....well kinda. I had a gov locker. Way back, I completely disassembled it and welded the spiders up. After the last Potosi Run, I found that the spider gears actually cracked/shattered around the welds. I have since modified the side gears, added blocks of steel and rewelded the unit to be usable spool.
Because of the occational street driving, I think it's time to try a detroit though.

I was hoping you had a good Gov loc. Id rather have a gov loc rather than the welded rear since its a DD, but I cant find a gov loc for the 4.56's. If I can find a govloc and someone to setup the gears again, I could give up the open carrier Im running now.

    Matt,
If you buy his gov-loc, I'll buy your open carrier.

On the gear setup, swaping the carrier should be a no-brainer in the 14BFF (if you don't change the pinion assembly). The only thing you will adjust is the backlash- which is real easy.

I talked(pm) to him today, and it was the wrong carrier. it was the 4.10 and numerically lower carrier. If you come across a gov loc for 4.56's, Ill trade ya.

Good luck finding a gov lock for 4:56's. Your best bet is just to get one for 4:10's and buy a thick gear set in 4:56.

I still need an open 14BFF (4.56) carrier.

I would consider buying a 14BFF, 4.56 gear setup and an open carrier-
if the pinion is complete with the pinion support and the shim is in tact.
