My husband is in need of a new daily driver he has finally just about killed his 79 Civic. Anyone have something real cheap that runs good enough to get us by for a few months? We are thinking about spending no more then a few hundred and aren't real picky about what make/model/year it is.

    Thanks.

I have a 1986 Chevy S10 on ebay right now with a $75 reserve (that price is without the good tires that are on the truck now so I can put them on my camaro). Or I would sell it for $200 with the tires.
    S10 on Ebay

If you are interested I can end the auction early for you and deliver the truck Friday night... Right now it runs good but needs some wiring patched up under the hood. It keeps blowing fuses in the ECM-B circuit (oil pressure sensor and Fuel pump relay). It has a new fuel pump and new relay on it already.

Hold on ending the auction early. I had a friend just call me and if he gets a new car (4th gen Camaro possibly) we will be getting his 77 Nova this weekend. I am going car shopping with him on saturday so I guess I jumped the gun on asking for something cheap. I will put your S-10 in my watch list , that is a pretty good deal and thanks so much for offering, I will show it to my husband and see which he would rather have.

Thanks k2-k5 for that offer but owning a Ford is just wrong /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif Honestly we turned down an Escort because of a bad clutch but it was cheap (hate doing fwd clutches).

Everyone hold your offers I will see if we get this Nova or not, heck free ain't a bad price for something reliable.

Why you think he has been driving a 79 Civic for the last 7 months, its not because it was to be like the cool kids /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I also have our little 79 Civic w/ a custom paint job /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif for $50 just get it out of my driveway. I was going to drive over it with the Blazer but it still runs good and I don't have the heart to. It does need a starter solenoid (clicks but will eventually catch and start, very annoying) and front brakes.

If you wondering yes we did get the 77 Nova 4 door and are looking at a 78 Toyota p/u 2wd for real cheap.

Our little Civic sold this evening, sorry. We had it out at the end of our driveway marked for sale and 3 young guys stopped and paid for it while I was at work. I'm gonna miss it, it was kind of a cute little car.
