Got a line on a Warn 12000 pound winch for $550 shipped. Supposedly just needs the remote for it. Sound like a good deal? Can you buy replacement remotes or how much roughly? Thanks.

It costs $973.95 from 4-Wheel Parts. Seems that the price has come down on them. I'm pretty sure that they were more like $1,100 a couple of years ago. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Oh yeah, a winch with a missing remote could be a stolen item. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif Unbolting the winch is easier and quicker than also breaking into the cab to find the remote. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I don't mean to hi-jack but, I'm considering the warn 12K winch. I run mainly mud, would this winch be too much or too little for a rig with 37-40 tires 6 inch lift and healthy stroker and wieghs in about 5700lbs?

Are the remotes for these winches pretty universal meaning one for a 9000 will work on a 12K or 15K or something? Thanks.
