Why not buy a set of drive flanges?

The hub fused for the 10-bolt and Dana 44 axles were designed to protect the axle shafts and u-joints. These fuses were just the existing drive gears that were machined down to be weaker. Basically the fuses, which are cheap and easy to replace, would break first.
I guess the reason they don't make them for the 35-spline Dana 60 (Do they make them for the 30-spline stubs??) is that the shafts and u-joints are so beefy most people don't have to worry about breaking them.
If you can't get the fuses you need, then you should be concerned about needing spare shafts and u-joints rather than hubs /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
You can get Warn drive flanges from www.4wdfactory.com or probably anywhere that sells Warn parts. I believe the part# is 39346(from the article Steve put up on the 35 spline shafts)...

Would you rather break a hub or axle shaft or u-joint? I have drive flanges of the warn flavor on my rig and i broke both axle u-joints. not at the same time but on the same trail. Beware of NAPA u-joints they are trash. Go with spicer forged at the minimum. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
With the drive flanges you'll be spinning the front end all the time. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
