It ran fine... but not enough power. Or am I asking too much wanting to be able to maintain 65mph up the passes with the setup I had? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I was down to 45 on alot of hills, and had to shift down on steeper grades to about 35mph.

But on the flat, 70 or a bit more was no problem. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My calculations say I got approximately 6.545 mpg, going a total of about 1,178.8 miles and using 180.099 gallons of gas.

This is an improvement over when I went to Renton and back last spring and got about 5.44mpg with the old motor. I gained about 1mpg. /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

How'd the motor install go? Did your older neighbor come over and give any more helpful tips? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

He seemed like a nice guy.

Alot nicer than my neighbor who started getting all senile and grouchy. I remember him asking me once if I had "permission" to be sanding and prepping a car for paint. I always wondered who I needed permission from. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
