I just got the new issue of FourWheeler(May 2001) and it has a small article(p 122) about the new concept K5. In it, it says that the last K5 was made in 1995?? I thought they weren't called K5's anymore since 91 and 92-95's were just Blazers or was this just a mistake on FourWheeler's part???

My mom has a 92, and it was still called a K-5, but didn't say so on the truck. I think they considered them K-5's till they changed them to Tahoe's in 96. Too much confusion with the Little Pussy Blazers.

The full-size Blazer was produced through 1995, in 1996 the name was changed from Blazer to Tahoe, most of us agree that 1991 was the last true year for the square body solid axle truck that we have come to enjoy, the 1992-1995 are really regarded as a Tahoe even though they carried the Blazer name.

S10s aren't pussy Blazers. I have a friend who has one, and its pretty bad a$$. He pulled me out of mud up to the rockers with 2WD and bald street tires, when a Jeep had just tried and failed.

I second that mini blazers are cool. We have a 2001 2WD and it towed my K5 5 miles and you couldn't even tell it was there even on hills, 4.3L Vortecs kick ass
