Wasn\'t the egr valve... now what?

About a week ago I asked why my Blazer was surging under light acceleration. Glenn pointed me towards the egr valve and all the symptoms coincided with what the Haynes manual said about a bad egr valve. I replaced it yesterday and it's still acting up. So, before I go on a wild goose chase and start replacing half of the stuff under the hood, anyone have any other ideas?

Have you checked the module in the distributor? Mine was acting up as well till it finally quit, I got the module checked at Autozone and out of the 8 things they test for 6 failed. When I put the new one in , I could not believe the difference. Ran like a top.

Thanks for the idea Eagle. That was going to be my next step today - plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and get the module tested.
