Okay, so I found out the hard way this weekend that open air cleaners, though the look good don't do well in mud and water. After I get done terring down the upper part of the engine and rebuilding my carb. I need to make my intake more resistant to water & mud. Any ideas on how I should accomplish this in my 72 Jimmy and still keep a clean look under the hood?

    Thanks in advance,

Why not put one of those foamy precleaners one the outside of the paper cleaner
