Is this a common problem? Its been raining for weeks and the floor is pretty wet now. I can see the water tracks on the surface of the plastic kick panel but I cant tell exactly what needs to be sealed up. Thanks.

I had a similar problem once. Turned out the windshield weatherstrip was old and had cracks all over it. Had to install a new weatherstrip.

I had a couple of trucks that had the same type leaks. all from the windsheild. had them sealed with a little urethane and all is well.

I had leaks on both corners.
I got my windshield completely re-sealed and the passenger side still leaks...[IMG] Now I've got to find the time to find where it is leaking and try and do something about it. I wouldn't mind carpet of some sort one day, I just want to make sure there are no leaks first!

Either the seal bad or your sill is rotted/rusted out, might want to consider popping out winshield.

Had this problem too. New windshield seal, sealed with a ton-o-goop. Found that the passenger door seal (angled portion) was getting water past it, running down the channel (that part that clips over the sheetmetal lip) and then running out on the inside right at the point where the seal turns straight up and down on the hinge jamb (as the metal lip turns, it is crinkled). It would run into the dash/jamb junction then down on the side kick panel. Drove me crazy trying to find it. When I was driving, it would get worse, and just sitting, it would drip. Fixed it by pushing the seal off of the lip from bend to bend and laying a bead of windshield sealant on that length.

also check out the airboxif the drain is plugged it ll overflow or leak out thru a seam in the box.or its rusty.pull back the carpet, and run a water hose over the windsheild, try your best to see where its comin in.it can be a bear to locate sometimes.thats in addition to checking the window seal and doors.

I thought I could fix mine, the seal was a little raised, put a 2x4 up against the seal, hit with hammer, and windshield broke...insurance covered, told the glass guy about the leak and he put this black stuff stuff around the seal that he told me was made of the same stuff as my tires (rubber?!?!?!). Sealed it up pretty well, no more leaks. you should probably pull up the carpet to clean up the wter and stop rust. Just don't get lazy like me and leave the carpet out for a month.
