    Need a water pump diagram asap. its for an 83 6.2L diesel. need to know where all these damn bolts go that i have...i have the pump mounted to the timing chain cover...but theres like 10 bolts left.... /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

    I just did mine Friday.
    Two 5/16 with studs at the top, for the oil filler.
    Be sure you can access the short one behind the water bypass hose, or put it through the cover before you place it to the block. I had to remove the fitting.
    Two long 5/16 on the bottom of the pump.
    One studded 3/8 on the driver side bottom for the PS pump slot.
    Two long 3/8 studded on the passenger side for the alternator bracket. The rest are easy.
    I just _know_ that you took the time to properly clean and dry the timing cover face, and use some high-quality sealant like Hylomar or 3M flange sealer...
