Hats off to everyone who has helped Rene along the way, either restocking his food and drinks or with truck problems. I think it's neat how so many people, most of whom have never actually met, can come together the way everyone has. Way to be there for him!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, it was amazing meeting him for the first time! [IMG] Here my wife and I allow a total stranger into our house to chat, drink, use restroom, check out CK5 site, chat in the chat room, and talk some more! But we didnt feel anything like those "uneasy" feelings at all!!! Almost as if Rene was family! And in a way, he is! [IMG] Any CK5 member who ever comes by my way, you are more than welcome to stop by.

After all this ordeal so far, and from what I have been reading and hearing about you Nashu, I would definitely put you on my list of members to meet!!! [IMG] Yeah, Rene is a great guy, and the second time he came back, we just felt like he was already family!!! Kinda like "come on in anytime you want, the door is not locked"!!!! [IMG]
Who knows? Maybe our paths will cross someday as it did with Rene. I can truly say this is about the best way to meet new friends!!! We consider Rene a great friend now!!! [IMG] I look forward to hearing from him when he gets back home and also when we all get back in the chat room again!!!!! [IMG]

<font color=blue>Yah it was kinda neat. I am still trying to get caught up on my sleep!!![IMG] When Rene called me at 1:15 AM I had some buddies over at the house and they were ready to take off with me!!! Its nice to have freinds like that! A few of my co-workers and other freinds questioned my train of thought at taking off in the middle of the night on a road trip to help some guy I have never met. Then to let in him my home and go to sleep. But to me, it was never really an issue I guess. I guess I am at a point in my life where I am tired of distrusting people and thinking that everyone is out to get me. I have met a whole lot of great people out on the trail who dropped all they were doing to help out a total stranger. Thats what its all about. I think that is a great trait of wheelers. We never mind lending a helping hand. (granted I know there are still assholes out there even on the trail, and we all run into em). One of the kids at my shop hangs out on a "street scene" BBS and I guaren-freakin-tee that they would never do something like we did. Rene was great, K30 was great (sorry i forgot your name) Twizted and everyone else who pulled together!!!! Life is good and so are all of you guys that helped, or would have helped given the chance.See ya

There is not a person here on CK5 that would not have stepped up, if given the chance.
    I BELIEVE THAT.

Read the threads, and the consideration for a "stangers" well-being is obvious. Would it have been differnt if it wasn't a "celebrity"? Maybe, Maybe not. I can tell you, I have been helped out by complete strangers- they could have easily passed me by- But they didn't, and I'am VERY GREATFULL.

I WILL RETURN THE FAVOR SOMEDAY! WILL YOU?

Good job to all those who helped Rene. I'm with everyone else on this issue. WE ARE ALL A FAMILY!!!!!!!!! Any one ever get's up this way...look us up. We got plenty of room here. And if we run out of space inside...we have 12 acres of land out back that we can pitch a tent on. LOL!!! Seriously though. If anyone is ever in our direction we would love to get together. It could be fun. We have talked to a few members about meeting up in June at the Carlisle Truck show and I'm excited. We also had the pleasure of meeting 2 CK5 members over the weekend and it was GREAT!!!! I'm only sorry that we didn't have more time. Job well done guy's and gal's!!!
