Went with my brother Friday night to pick up a friends trailer, and decided to take the long way through a local trail, Jones Swamp, and come upon a nice newer Eddie Bauer Ford Exploder and a 99 Ranger stuck up to the frame rails in crusty mud. They left them on the trail, not smart, and they had been broken into and radios were missing and such, they left the baby seat and stroller though. We would have been happy to yank them out had they been there. So we shut the doors and went on by shaking our heads at the idiots that would leave their rides stuck and at the idiots that would tear them apart.
BTW, I did get stuck too, only had on hub locked, DOH!

Why would you take an explorer off-road, when you know it would get stuck in a gravel driveway.

You were careful not to leave your prints in/on the vehicle, right? Anyone stupid enough to those out on a trail is dumb enough to point a guilty finger at anyone they can.

Did you check the steering columns for busted ignition or any other signs of theft? Around here a lot of Stolens end up stuck and stripped in the bush...most car thieves can't wheel worth a sh!t.

That's too bad [IMG]. Why can't people leave other people crap alone... even if it is a F@#d. Sometimes you need to leave the rig if it is stuck... but usually if that is if you wheel alone w/out a winch... dumb idea IMO. It is a shame no one seems to have any respect these days...[IMG]

Prints? Are you kidding me? The cops wouldn't dust for prints for a broken in Exploder! When my Blazer was broken into last year I had $2500 in missing items and damage. Guess what? The cops said that's nice now leave us the @#$% alone.....never came out or cared. I had to call them for a report which they sent for insurance. I could have said they stole my gold brick and my Monet painting from the back and they would have said oh ok and went with it....no disrespect to anyone on this board in law enforcement, but sheesh talk about getting paid to do nothing but sit on your butt! No, we didn't leave any prints, my brother colsed the door with his boot, and no the columns were still fully intact. It was some Navy folks with base stickers from Pennsylvania. I guess they never asked the locals (Pensacola, FL) about who goes through that trail. With 33"s I have to be careful of what line to choose or be swallowed up by a 44" trench
