I have a 110 Lincoln Mig welder. I am by no means a welding expert but I do know I can burn through damn near anything on my rig with it. I assume, if you can burn a hole through the material, you have more than enough power to lay a good weld.

I have not used it on the axle tubs but I am sure I could with good results.

Turn it all the way up and go slow and you should be ok. 220 would do a better job, but it is possible with 110.

How many amps does the 110 put out? I have a 135 amp 110 and I think it can be done with it, but I would probably do about three passes and burn it in slow. I wouldn't trust a single pass weld with a 110.

just make sure you dont do it all at once. if it gets to hot you could warp the tube. not to suggest you didnt know that, just making sure.
