The little rabbits died yesterday morning, of unknown causes. Fed them in the morning, and they were dead in the afternoon. :dunno:

Sorry Southernspeed, no pictures other than the ones I've posted. If you can't find them, I'll email them to ya.

Fumes, no autopsy, the dog (or cat) ate them when we set the box on the porch. :doah:

    Sounds like an inside job...................................

Always wanted to say that! :wink1:

Sorry to hear that though, cats usually get our rabbit babies. Lots of rabbits here, and red tailed hawks, for some reason!

    Too bad....

I was hoping they would pull through..that sucks..poor bunnies..:(

I found 2 newborn kittens on my front steps saturday morning--almost stepped on them!..one was a black one,and was dead already..had to bury it...the other one,a grey, black ,and white tabby tiger striped one,was still alive--but I've learned from past experience if you touch them, the mother cat will abandon them..since they were on the steps, and there were only 2 of them,I assumed the mother had already purposely left them behind,as the "runts" of the litter...

I used a plastic bag to pick up the survivor, and put a towel under it to help keep it warm..it was cold and it rained while I was away for most of the day...

The other one died sometime during the day..it was dead when I got home..had to bury that one too..I feel like the grim reaper for cats the past few years...:doah: :(

Weird thing is,I cant tell which of the dozen or more strays was the mother...none of them looked pregnant..

I HAVE to find a way to at least get the female cats out of here, neutered,or something..the are becoming a big nuisance, and our neighbors are pissed at my mom for feeding them..they often fight at night, and use their lawns and bushes for a toilet..I have NO means of feeding them once my mom passes away..and I dont plan to either..it was stupid of her to start feeding them many years ago,and now its a huge problem....the only cats I care about are our two "indoor" cats,"Puff" and "Kit-Cat"..

I love cats, and all animals really---(except dogs that bark incessantly for no reason)..its probably going to take a gun,or a friends rottie to get rid of them once and for all..hate to do it that way,but I see no alternative..they are too smart to go into a baited trap, tried that dozens of times..:doah:  ..

Cool! I just noticed it. A reminder to never ever leave this computer.

And, I had a salad today at Ryan's, and I really did leave two pieces out. It was confusiing my boss.

I really was pulling for the little guys.

Bwahahahaha! Did you explain the lettuce, or just use the word "bubblewrap" to explain that you occasionally have wierd behavior, and leave it at that?

My boss asked what that was about, and I told him this guy I knew just had two baby bunnies die.

My boss looked me right in the eye and said, "He shouldn't 'ave done dat, they was jest a boy".

I could not respond. No explanation was neccesary after that.

I got a pretty cool boss. The other day, out of nowhere, he buys me a GI JOE shirt with Destro and The Baroness on it. It's awesome.
