My daughter got a bunch of scholarships so daddy dont have to pay for Collage. So I rewarded her for all her hard work and bought her a little get around car.
Acually i kinda like it.... Ford Focus 2.0 etech :D Has a littl bit of zip and it aint a ricer.
I gave Rachel a choice of a bunch of different cars but she fell in love with this one. All it needs is about 8 psi of BOOST:thumb:

Be hella careful with the Focus. I have a 2000 Focus, ZX3, with right about 90,000 miles on it. Since I've had it, I've had to have the key cylinder changed three times because it kepot falling out, the drivers window has been replaced twice, because the motor craps out, and when the exterior seal on the winshiled goes bad and peels back, you'll get water in the passenger floor every time it rains.

I've floated around a couple tuner boards, and these all seem to be pretty common problems.

As shameful as it is though, when the K5 was down for a few months, I got kinda attached to it. It was a little sporty...

Congrats to your daughter! Way to go! Skool is good fer ya!

This one only has 40 K on it and. Believe it or not manual windows?? With the hand crank thingys??? I didn't think they even made them any more. Its a pretty basic car......... i guess as far as a kid is concerned ....It Runs good and has a good stereo. Prolly have to get a amp and a set of 10" subs so she can peel the pavement off the street:D . She went out tonight and bought some Lepord skin seat covers for it.
    Pimp my ride Daddy:haha:

Mine are electric, so I think your good there. Mechanically, other than the key cylider, it's never (knock on wood) had any problems, and it really is the perfect car for getting from A to B on the cheap. Come to think of it, I know I've throw more money into the K5 that I have ever put into the Focus. I still have the stock stereo, it rocks!

...and I have Hello Kitty seat covers on mine. :eek1:

For a minute I thought you meant a horse, I was going to say don't get kicked. :D

Looks like the perfect car for her. Should get decent mileage. Any airbags in that vehicle?

:D LOL! Yup. Ford makes it so easy to find the problem. Acually I like Fords I have lots of practice working on them:D
. I have been driving GM and Fords all my life. Both have their weak and strong points.
