I went to a local welding supply shop on my lunch hr and what did they have sitting in the middle of the floor?
A Lincoln 225/125 AC/DC, used, (3hrs MAX on it)looking inside at the guts and the leads it was not used hardlly at all, just stored. It's bolted to a hand cart with numatic wheels and has extended leads for $250 bucks out the door!!
I couldn't pass it up so it is in the back of my pickUp!!!
YaaaaHooooo, now I just have to tell my wife![IMG]

Before you tell her, find something metal at home that is broken. That way you can say part of the reason you bought it was to fix something for her. It seems to help me to do that sometimes

I thought I was wrong once,
    but I was mistaken

Find something you can fix for her with the welder, and it will help to take some of the heat off.
