    WELL I\'M ABOUT to...and this is serious....about to ...

    Dig into some nice BBQ'd ribeyed steaks(thick) cooked over mesquite, having a couple of beers to prime the appetite.
    The recipe is simple:

    -two ribeyes(thick)
    -onion powder heavy both sides
    -pepper(fresh ground) both sides
    -with a fork pierce lightly surface of steak both sides
    -soy sauce rubbed into steak(no need to marinate for long time) both sides

    grill till medium rare(my choice) and cheers.

    mmm, sounds good, but I would have to add plenty of garlic powder also. I have a recipe at home where A-1,Heinz 57, soy sauce, and other stuff are mixed together, makes a great marinade. willing to try it?

    post it up.

    I use the garlic on the chicken thighs I got on the grill now. Since I use real mesquite charcoal, i always cook a couple of days worth of food.

    -chicken thighs
    -garlic,thyme,rosemary,and a few other herbs. should be about done.....the smell is insane /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

    Personally, rib eye is my favorite. But, I rub the garlic salt and pepper into the steak, throw them into a ziplock bag, pour in some Jack Daniels and some italian dressing, and throw them in the fridge in the morning. At night, pull them out and on the BBQ they go. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

    here ya go:

    2 cups of beef broth
    1 cup veg. oil
    1/2 (4 oz) bottle of Heinz 57
    1/2 (4 oz) bottle A-1
    1 tbspn Worcestershire sauce
    1 teaspn onion powder
    1 teaspn salt
    1/2 teaspn fresh ground pepper
    1/2 teaspn garlic powder

    marinate 8 steaks, in covered bowl, 3-4 hours, turning every hour, then grill and baste freq. with more marinade.
