my gf got her tax return and she wanted to get me my wedding band with part of the $... here is what I went with...

I went with the extra-hard high grade titanium... 6Al/6V/2Sn. Other than a tungsten ring (heavy, prolly never wanna wear it!) this is about as tough a metal ring as you can buy... which is good, cause I didnt like the idea of having a wedding ring in some girly pansy metal. lol!! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I already have the diamond for her ring... its 1/2 carrat, princess cut. My mom has a wholesales jewelers license and picked it up for me at a show... color and clarity are outstanding. I paid $800 for it... mom had it appraised at a respected jeweler here in town, and the diamond came in at $2,000. Not bad. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Now I just need to find the ring I want for her and we're set. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Oh yeah, i gotta pop the question to. lol!!!!

    That's cool.

Get it sized very carefully - titanium rings can NOT be resized.

no, haven't asked, and yes, we are getting rings. lol!! weird I know, but neither one of us are fans of following silly rules anyway. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'll ask soon enough, I need to get the setting for her ring first though... can't propose without a ring can ya?! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

AFA the sizing goes, I got measured twice, and the company I am getting mine from will do 1 free size-replacement should ya need it, so hopefully I'm set. (knock on wood)

AFA the ring itself goes, I'm pretty psyched about it... gold is soft and weak, silver is kinda like golds weeny retarded cheap step kid... I wanted something much more "me"... so I went with the high-grade titanium. I woulda got a tungsten one, that'd be bad azz, but I dont want a heavy ring that I wouldnt wanna wear so titanium was the answer. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
