    and changed out my front bearings on passenger side. easy. only thing is, it "the" problem was not the bearings, it looks like the spindle bearings are the problem. I was hearing the "clank" when slowing down and turning. This is a d60 that I have not really driven on much. After I put everything back together(the press i bought for my gear change has earned its keep!), I mounted the tire and then....reached up behind the hub and shook the axle at the joints. It shook. Hmmm. I tried it on the driver side, it did not shake. Hmmm.

    Is this the spindle bearings that I need to change? the axle shakes some when I move it so i think it is. good thing its a 3 day weekend or I would be frustrated!
