I have no time to finish all the projects I have building up here. I started working temporarily helping out at the Radiator shop I used to work at too, in order to save up some more money. This means I have less time. I've been saving up money for several reasons...

Yet tonight, though I have no time for more projects and shouldn't be spending the money I saved, I spent it and bought another truck. :doah:

I was thinking as I went to go tow it home... why did I buy this?

'84 K10 with a 4" lift and 33's and a bad motor. I've seen this truck sitting there for several months out in front of the apartment building where a friend lives.

10-bolts front and rear :( , 350 with bad bearings (rod knock), but was recently rebuilt, Torker intake, headers, newer clutch, SM465/NP208, 4" lift that's not too old, 33x12.50R15 Wild Countrys with 50% tread on white spokes. He wanted $800, but I gave him 600 bucks and a set of four 215/75R15 tires off my '76 Buick Electra.

This was money set aside to pay for something else. But I'm planning on selling some other stuff to make up for it. I just made a deal and sold the 454 out of my '81 Crew Cab now... not cause I'm tearing it apart but cause I need money and don't want to spend the $81 to license it or buy new kingpins. By selling the 454 I'm also getting my other 350 back which will go into the newly bought '84.

I'll get another 454 for my Crew Cab again later.

For $600 and a set of wheels I think you made out pretty good. Just get it running and I bet you could sell it for tripple what you payed. Nice!

It definately needs the 60/14 combo too. As well as new shafts. And a 203/205 doubler. Might as well throw on some shackle flips. In a few weeks, it could be a nice tow rig.

    :D
