Well took the block to the machine shop...

    Took my 350 block, a good block, to the machine shop today... and the heads.. and all teh other goodies...

    Going to have it fully built by them with 3 year warranty...
    Comp cam, new pistons, hypereutectic keith black's...
    a few other goodies...

    Decided to keep my k5.. I'd miss it too much...
    And have already spent way too much so what's another 2 grand right!

    I cant wait to get it back.. now to pay for it... hehe
    I told him January was ok.. So I had time to pay for it!

    LOL.. I wont be able to sleep till I hear it purring...

    And the cool thing is I kinda know the guy from talking and sending clients to his shop, he siad I can come down and watch him doing the stuff to it anytiem, he's gonna call when he does stuff to it...
    SO I think it's cool i getto watch his assymble it and do stuff to it! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

    How much more would it cost to turn that 350 into a 383 stroker ???? I think it'd be somethinng to look into.

    The rought I'd go would be a new crank and rods.. i dont want to spend that money right now...

    But it was a option I looked into...
    Would be nice to have...
    Eventually I will do a 454 again...

    I know I asked him and he recommended the way donimator did his.. buy a new crank for a 383 and the correct stuff no grinding I didnt wanna spend that much...

    it's gonna be about 1500 now...

    he said the crank is 500 or so and the other stuff needed bring it to 1000....

    ROUGH guess.....

    He does about 6 or 7 a year...

    Just not worth it to me... at this point...

    He had a beautiful 468 sitting in there.. over 700 horses...
    going in a 72 chev shortbox... 2wd... I drooled... and drooled... and drooled some more... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
