I am checking on how much additional storage will cost but might have to delete some of the 60 picture galleries out there. [IMG]

Is that the problem with the members rides?

Steve, if you're in need of hard drive space let me know. I have extra SCSI 2/3 hard drives laying around taking up space if you want them.

The problem he is talking about is with the hosting service limits that CK5 has paid for. They won't let you put in your own drives, you just have to pay more each month for more space.

Drop my picture gallery then. Delete what ever you must do. I can host my own pictures.

Still hoping the GOV'T will ban the use of loud stereos with RAP music. [IMG]

Yeah, definitely ditch it, or limit it to 1-2 pics. You could also let everyone host their own pics and then link as many through "members rides" as they like. Heck, there is no reason that the visual affect has to change. HTML doesn't care where the pics are pulled from, that might even be a way to get pics back into posts on the forum too, sort of like non-members do over on pirate. That way it doesn't take your bandwidth and people can still post pics as long as they are hosted in a place that allows x-linking.

Checking prices for additional space now but really should just get a dedicated server. After I converted all the gallery scripts I kept getting no more disk space errors so may have to clean up the gallery a little bit, most people have know idea that 60 pics the size of a house will take up a lot of room. [IMG]
Thanks for the offer of people saying I have x-amount of space at where I work but I don't want to get into that, would be a real pain if Joe goodguy allows me to use disk space somewhere then gets laid off etc. just wouldn't be smart on my part, but thanks for the offers.

    Steve,

One of the things I really like about being a MEMBER is the ability to post pictures....and I post a LOT of them. (I'm probably one of the guilty parties!) [IMG]

I know that numerous people have used my pics as reference material for doing their own upgrades, and for me it's one of those ways that I try to "give something back" to this CK5 community. I don't have a LOT of expertise on Blazers, but once I complete a project it feels good to share the process with others to help them understand how to do it, and what could go wrong.

I hope there is a way to get more disk space without "bankrupting" you....but if not, I hope that we can at least be notified in advance so that we can try to make "backups" of all the stuff that's there. I personally have spent a lot of time arranging my photos and adding captions to every single photo. I'd hate to have that all just disappear without at least having a chance to migrate it somewhere else.

    Just my $.02

I understand, one of the reasons I'm looking at moving to a dedicated server, would have tons of space then.

    Steve-

Why not do something like this:

    *UNLIMITED Megabytes of Web Space
    *One FREE domain registration
*host up to 6 domain names
    *host up to 10 subdomains
    *a mySQL database
    *SSL protected website
    *Static IP Address
    *CGI-BIN included
    *unlimited email services
    *unlimited FTP services
    *Server Side Includes (SSI)
    *no forced advertisements
    *$24.95/mo.

The only thing that they don't advertise that I noticed was the max. bandwidth of the service.... Here is the url:

    <a target="_blank" href=http://www.featureprice.com/?c=2&amp;p=6#attop>http://www.featureprice.com/?c=2&amp;p=6#attop</a>

Not that you haven't looked for the best deal or anything, but more importantly - we have a lot of web/computer folks out here that can probably help locate the best hosting services out there for you at the best price. Maybe next month's giveaway will be based on who can find the best web web-hosting service out there! [IMG]

I'm going with 16.5's. What can I say; there's just more possibilities.
