Honestly, I would say it is a personal opinion. But if it was me, and it was in pretty good shape, I would say well, what the hay and get it. But that is just me. Its a 2wd so wouldn't end up as a future project and I have always iked the manuals on the column.

I took your poll. DD and parts runner? Find a 4 banger. Mine does me well, plus has A/C which is sometimes nice. You can get a decent S-10 or similar for around the same price.

'74 looks good, 6-banger, step side, manual - trans, steering and brakes..............plus I had a S-10 and felt claustrophobic!!! :o

You have a point there. I hate the thing, and don't drive it unless I'm going out of J'ville. But, it's done me good for almost 9 years now. Good luck with the "new" truck.

Well, I don't need to borrow any more money, but another $1500.00 ain't a huge amount. That way I'll enough to get the 208 I want, and have enough to get the drive shaft shortened (if I can find the mutherf**ker)!

I have to drive over 100 miles to get the 208, so if the '74 I want to buy makes it there and back, that will be over $20.00 in gas saved just on that trip! :D
