It was alright. I wish I had a narrower rig to hit there more often. Lots of mud though and nowhere near as many obstacles as I thought there would be. I hope I get to hit it again soon...I think I'm going to try to take my truck out there when I get my winch fixed.

I think they allow fullsize 4x4s, my freind went there a couple weeks ago with his Ramcharger and they didnt say anything. He did lose some body molding tho.

He rode along with somebody else.

Tim, you need to remember, you were out there when it was frozen, and traction was plentiful.

They do have a wheelbase and tire size limit. A ramcharger, bronco and K5 are all under the wheelbase limit.

I'd have to guess being frozen did help. When we went, we got on a trail that was pretty tough due to being very tight, and it had rained a couple of days before we went, whoever was first had decent traction, whoever was following had a hell of time climbing some of the hills.

Yup, the first guy usually polishes it good and the second usually is having a nightmare getting up some of the hills out there. The trail we cut last week is gonna end up like that, only its got a good sized ledge at the top you gotta get over :D

I'm going to ask the trailmaster if I can take my rig out there.

Traction might have been good but if we weren't on our side, we were making progress.

I can't wait to take my truck out there, it's a fun park. :D

So I would assume that 127" is outside of that limit?:D What is the limit on tire size?

Is this the place located by Ottawa, IL?

I've got some time off, so I'm going wheeling, probably tomorrow. Weather looks best tomorrow. Was planning on the Badlands, but maybe I should head for The Cliffs. Anyone going to either place?

I went the 31st. Forecast looked better for that day. There was only one group of wheelers and some quads. Pretty quiet, and awesome weather. :) Did you have rain down there the 1st, like we had here?

we sure did, but it was still fun. Wasnt many people there, so we just played arround at our own pace. Ran a section of orange i have never been on, and took out my door, but oh well. Lost a bumper too, but it was all in good fun. My pics are in my sig if you get bored. I still need to finish getting them up, i was on vacation since the 2nd.

Nice pics. Like the ones from the Cliffs too. Must be awesome in the snow. I'd love to go back there again. My brother is in the middle of fixing his engine problem in his Jeep, then maybe we'll head back. We went to the Badlands with the quads yesterday and got wet and cold.

What's all that white stuff on the ground :)

Looks like most of those guys had a problem staying up on all four wheels too

Oh yeah, it was a lot of fun in the snow. I have video clips of John (in the black TJ) driving on his side for a long ways, like an entire ravine :D. They were testing out Murf(his passenger)'s new Tireloc beadlocks, and were actually TRYING to dismount a tire. There were several flops, but only one rollover, and i missed it with the video. He ended up on 4 wheels, and after he picked everything up that fell out, we continued. Was a HARD roll too, im even more impressed with that zuk, it just refuses to die.

I'll be at the cliffs again the 16th. Depending on how much damage i do the 15th at the badlands, i may be driving my K5 too, well have to see what happens saturday.
