were the trucks the army used K30s

    I know where I might be abel to get one with a blown (as in up) 6.2 and was woundering if thos things where 1Ton or 3/4 Ton

    and what kind of traney they had in them

    I thank it is a 400 and an NP203 right?

    I think they are modified K30 (extra cross member x2) I know they have an 8 inch frame rail. Short side of it, grab it if you can get it for good price. It has a D60 front, 14ff w/ detroit, both 4.56s. Makes a great build up rig. Sprins are heavy duty though, so choppy ride. Make sure someone hasn't already taken good axles and swapped in some crap. Best to you.

    the fire dep of a near by town has it I thank they may auction it off or a may be able to go buy and give them an offer for it

    Absolutely worthless tidbit about them, but the Army calls/called them 5/4 ton trucks.

    I knew a guy with one. It went over to desert storm. cool ass truck! Camo paint! It had a 6.2 Diesel in it. I'm not sure of the tranny. I think his was a manual.
