...where can I get them? I was thinking about Rancho 9012s (I think that's what they are). Anyway, I want to have something that'll drop quite a bit, since I plan on using EZ ride springs and a shackle flip. are there any other shocks that perform just as well, but aren't as expensive?

My 2 cents. I had 9000's on a past truck and found that I just set them on setting 3 and forgot about them. Way overrated in my opinion. Rancho non adjustable 5012's are good and less cash. And there's a pro comp 3000 series that I got with 1/2" more travel. I love the ride of my truck, with the tuff country fronts and the '91's in back it rides much better than stock.

Doetch Tech DT8000's. 14" of travel and a lot less expensive than Rancho's. IIRC they are about $35 each. Available through West Texas Off Road.

I Got the doetsch----awesome. got the ford shock towers also to actually use the length. not too soft not too hard (ie right in the middle like putting the ranchos at a 3.) highly reccommended

ditto on the DTs.. forget RS9000s. If you are rich and like to fiddle with adjustment knobs... sure get the RS9000s... if you just want a great shock get the DTs.

Bob, I am running Doetsch Tech's on my rig and you saw how she performed. They also perform very well on road too. I think mine have around 15" of travel and were like $38 a piece from summit. I will get the model numbers when I get a chance.

summit part number doe-8403 $34.39 each

My pro-tools bender is coming in on Monday and I just found a place that carries every kind of tubing I will ever need. I will let you know when I have some stuff ready.
