I'm buying a truck long distance so I don't have it to look at first hand, can anyone tell me what these 2 options codes are : GQ1 and GT5 ?

I think these should be the gear ratio and maybe a locking diif code but I don't know, any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!!

Thanks Shaggy! I was really hoping for 4.56 but 4.10 is still better that 3.73!

    Thanks again!

Double check that vin#, it won't go into my system.
The only thing I can tell is it seems to be a 91 1 ton 4dr chev, 4x4 with a 5.7L built in flint michigan.
Pay close attention to the last 8 digits, it's probably one of those that is wrong.

Scott, I've double checked the VIN against a faxed copy of the title and it's correct. The truck is a former gov't truck (don't know what branch/org), does that make a difference?

    Well John,
It looks like you're going to have to go to the glove box rpo listing, take a pic and post it.
That vin will not cross reference on our systems or GM's
    Sorry man I tried. /forums/images/icons/confused.gif

With US vehicles on the computer I'm not sure it's hit and miss, If you know the rpo #'s you want descriptions on I can go back to 76 in most cases.

Scott and Dave, THANK YOU both for trying to run the VIN. That's a little scary that y'all can't get any info on it. I think I'm going to call the local license office tomorrow to make sure I'm not going to have any tag/title problems.

I won this truck on Ebay, it's a 91 V3500 SRW crew cab, w/ 350, 4l80 and 205 (should be). It's some sort of gov't truck but I don't know if it's military, etc.. I'm going to Phoenix, Az Friday to pick it up (from National Auto Mart) and drive it home to Mobile, Al. (talk about a test drive! /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif ). Hopefully, after having it painted this will be a great daily driver/tow truck. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

Thanks again for trying, I'll keep y'all posted.
