Never strike me as the person to listen to that stuff... Some odd reason I've been listening to more of that dance rap hip hop stuff. Conditioning myself so I can go to clubs I guess.
Ya, I'm really into the dance rap hip hop stuff. Somehow it keeps me motivated. I really like the old skool rap too. I listen to a variety of music though, some days it's all Zepplin, Simon and Garfunkle, Scorpions, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Jethro Tull, Steppenwolf, Stix, etc...
Old school rap is funny to me, most of the old stuff wasn't so much gangster, woman hating stuff, it was more about fun. Two of my favorite songs of all time are "Bring the Noise" with Anthrax and Public Enemy and "Walk this Way" with Run DMC and Aerosmith.
Some of my favorite oldies are
Sir Mix A Lot - Posse on Broadway
Sir Mix A Lot - Baby Got back
N 2 Deep - Back to the Hotel
Ton Loc - Funky Cold Medina
Ton Loc - Wild Thing
Young MC - Bust a Move
Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby
It is funny to listen to the oldies now, becasue they are so mild in nature compared to the rap of today. And people back then thought rap was evil...
I find it funny to listen to old metal. I watched Wayne's World and they go into this bar where he meets Cassandra(the asian chick) and he says "this is the best metal club around"..... Compared to today, thats not what I would call metal at all
