I think my 95 is sold and a dealership up the road has a 1990 Toyota pickup, 22re 4 cylinder, 5 speed, like 4" lift with 31s for $2900. 225,000 miles, blue book is more like 2k, not sure if they will come down a whole lot. Wouldn't be a bad daily driver that I could still hit a mud hole once and while with.

    I've got a 92 Celica that's treated me well...needs more power and a sixth gear though. Spins 3500 around 70, 5000 at 110 /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif
If you're still looking for a quick DD then I don't think you've found it. A well worn four banger is gonna have a helluva time turning those huge 31's, unless it's got like 5.29's in it. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
I'd look for a v6, though probably not as easy to find.

I think I'm just gonna stick ot the K5, I saw something about a guy running a 22re toyota and he was getting like 15 mpg, its not worth my time to buy one if I'm gonna get that much. I can probably get 10 out of the K5 with a new carb and 4.10s and 38s.

I would feel like I won the State lotto with that gas mileage in the crewcab. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

    We've got an '01 D/A Crew Cab- 21.5 mpg average....(LOVE diesel!)

and a '03 Grand Am SE2.....both have all the bells and whistles....after driving one of these and then getting into the K5 with crank windows, and no A/C I'm okay with making payments for those luxuries!

I have a Isuzu Trooper, '89, Four Banger, No Power LOL. Its not that bad, but pricey to repair. 187,000 miles and still runs pretty good, we had to do a head gasket a while back. It is much cheaper and more reliable than my old K5 in the long run, and at least it has 4wd and a lever shift t-case /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Best part is that there is no payment to make each month, and low maintainence /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

A '93 Dodge x-cab dually w/ cummins 5 spd. It's going to pull my blazer and Nick's GMC or whatever he decides to wheel.

I get about 18 in the city and 22 on the highway.

This is the first summer I've had a/c /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

'03 ford focus.. i swore i'd never buy one, but i needed a new car that was good on gas (100 mile a day commute), and it was dirt cheap with a 100k mile bumper to bumper warranty (i'm sure i'll need it with fords sh!tty quality control)

and an 84 5 series bmw....bought it for my DD once i started upgrading the K5, but didnt get it running in time for my new job, which is where the focrap comes into play
