88 Jeep Cherokee LTD.....my wife hates it![IMG] but its easy to load the kids and junk into. My Jimmy 'outgrew' [IMG] that job.
Before that, an 86 Mustang GT (Canadian Cobra) that we owned from the showroom until last June. Full load and somewhat rare for an 86 an auto behind the 5.0L.

'87 IROC Z28 Camaro. 350TPI. Hoooweeee! The thing leaves it's own a$$ behind! It's a blast! Even for a short car. We found out recently that the particular package it came with was the most rare. There's pics on my website (a still one and one with tire smoke everywhere!)

My daily driver also happens to be a muscle car, one of the last REAL muscle cars. A 95 9C1 LT1 Caprice. The 9C1 stands for police package, so it came with all the heavy duty options. The only thing the car didn't come with was the posi rearend. The guy who sold it to me explained to me that since the car saw service as a city police vehicle (Long Beach, east division, I imagine who's ridden in the back of my car!!!LOL) and not a Highway Patrol vehicle that the agencies didn't see the justification for spending $400 extra for the posi option. The drivetrain is completely stock, for now, and I can honestly saw that the car hauls a$$. The best part is, that you'd never know by looking at it. Mechanically it's got the same drivetrain as an Impala SS, except I didn't pay the SS price. I've had it for three weeks and I love the thing.
Last Sunday morning I was going over to my buddies house and I was on the freeway doing 85-90 when I started coming up on a mustang. I could tell it was a V6, and I'm sure they had no clue what they were messing with. As soon as I started getting closer, they accelarated, so I did the same. I floored it and I came out around them and totally left them behind. I kept it steady at 113 for a little bit and they weren't gainning on me, maybe they were scared. So I decide to punch it and I still had more power to deliver. The car quickly shot up to 120 and was still climbing. As soon as I saw 125, I totally let off the gas and I let them catch up to me. It was the first time I had opend it up and I was so psyched I was laughing out loud when they caught up. They looked over and gave me a thumbs up. The car has a digital speedo and it's "Certified" (cop car remember) as well, so I can vouch for the 125. The best part was that the car could have easily delivered more and was totally stable and capable of handling it. Can you tell I love my car? BTW I also have a 68 SS Camaro in my garage. I refer to it as my "retirement project" as it's only the shell, but it is rust free! I went all the way out to Phoenix to buy it.

It's not what you buy, it's what you build!

My other car is a clean '67 camaro, I use as a daily driver when the sun is shinnin' (46 miles round trip to work). It turns alot of heads- I've gotten alot of thumb ups and nods from other people. Even had one girl park her ars in front of it for a closer look (very cool!). It's not a cream puff, alittle rust at the dash and rear window corners, not very bad, and some mistery body work on the RF and RR fenders. It's got a 6 and a glide (2 speed auto) makes for a slow ride. Keeps my driveing record clean.
Plans are for a 6" rod 327 and clean her up some, not sure of what trans to go with, glide/T350/700 or a stick. The stick would be fun, but I don't know if I could cut up the floor. , its gone 34 years w/o some jerk messing it all up, I'd hate to be that jerk. Kinda looks like Steves "arrest me red" camaro, less engine and more hood.
Other-other rides are a '68 camaro (screamin' deal) a '69 Toyota fj40 (screamin' deal again) and a 76 Blazer for those less than perfect days. Current project is a "never see the light of day again" 73 Blazer.
Thanks Steve for the GREAT site and the new forum, hope its a hit or a click,

I've got a few cars. I've got my 86 S-10 Blaze 4x4 - it will never die! Rust + BFG Radial All-terrains + off-road lights = fun. Haha. I've also got an 88 Lebaron turbo that I've been fixing up - it will haul ass, too! It's for sale if anybody needs a good car. My ongoing project is a 75 Firebird - Pontiac 350, Dynomax headers, edelbrock valve covers, Walker glasspacks, auto tranny, etc. Soon to have a Rochester Q-jet, for a little more fun! My daily driver is a 96 Z34 Monte Carlo, which is a very fun car. Can you say 102 mph and 2900 RPM? How about a 7 grand redline to top it off? 95 in the quarter, but a governor at 120. Damn speed limiter. I'm running 3200RPM at 120 and it won't let me go any faster - grrr!

Okay, the other (now the main) Ride is Miss Daisy, the 1965 Malibu. Shes got 4 doors, a 230 strait six, and a 2speed. As stated before, it makes for slow driving, but boy does she look good. This car is not exactly a creampuff either, there is some minor dentage on the front left fender, (probably a parking lot incident before i got her) and the headliner and back seat have issues. Major issues. but the rest of the body is strait, not rusty, (except for the rear body mounts, but they are getting rebuilt as we speak.) and she runs like a beauty for being 36 years old. Just passed 100,000 miles. when i get her back im gonna see about swapping in a Th 350, because although i love the powerglide, I really do need the 3rd gear. also someday down the road im gonna see about swapping a v8 in, make it a little quicker, go for the whole sleeper action, nobody expects to be destroyed by a car that looks like grandma should be driving.............

UPDATE!: found some pics of a car exactly like mine online, here they are:

Same color and everything. only difference I can see is that i dont have the rear wheel skirts. (And I have Dice on the mirror)

My wife's car is a 97 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. Leather, power everything, moonroof, and a kick-a$$ stereo system from the factory! Infinity 6-speaker system, there's an amp hiding under the pass.seat, just no CD player. The radio has Diversity tuning so the stations never seem to fade or go fuzzy. For a 2 liter non-turbo 4-banger, it's a rocket.

'96 Caprice - Daily ride, kicks a$$ - set 90 on the cruise and away you go - 12"s a pumpin all the way.

'67 Firebird RA 400, m-21, pos, factory traction bars ect. Kicks much a$$.

'66 Corvair Monza - rear engine air cooled flat 6-cyl. Takes the corners like it was born to. No it doesn't flip over, catch on fire ect. The Corvair was the ONLY car deemed safe by a congressional committee. Try one you'll like it.

I don't know about the Corvair-not-catching-on-fire thing. When I lived in base housing on MCAS El Toro (gone but not forgotten...) one of my neighbors had a Corvair he had restored. I came home for lunch one day and as I drove by his house, I saw a little thick black smoke coming out from under the rear. I parked my car and started walking to his house, then started running when I saw flames and burning stuff falling on the ground. Beat on his door and told him his car was on fire, boy for a big guy he moved FAST!! We put the fire out with his garden hose; turned out a rubber hose for the heater caught fire. His wife was NOT happy...
