I wanted to stick with Dana Spicer brand so thats what I got.
I have also heard good things about Persion Gear.
Do not get Genune Gear. I had the opertunity to compare a GG ring and pinion set side by side to a Dana Spicer and the GG had ALLOT of little imperfections and ruff spots......
The Dana looks WAY more better. I know that looks may not be everything but hey just my .02

Richmond. A little more expensive- but excellent quality and good history....

All depends on what axles you have. I have found for the dana axles that dana/spicer parts are best. Corp axles can use any name brand parts as they are all good pieces. I have used Genuine Gear with no problems at all. Looks are not what an axle makes. You think if GG made them looking bad, then they would not be in business if they had such a good quality product. Bigger companies like 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers sells these products everyday in mass quantities. They would not if they knew GG was bad product. Just shop around and compare.

I would also agree Richmond is a good brand. If you look at all drag cars and most fast 4x4 mud drag cars, you will find Richmond is very strong. Do not buy the richmond soft type gears for Dragracing though. I have Richmond 4.88s to install soon, Ill let you know...
